Ice plates

I am really excited to show you these new ice plates sculpted by Duncan at Hamilton Ice Sculptors. Wish the ice didn’t have to melt away after the shoot, but at least I got them in camera.

Elegance & Grace

Many of the warehouses around my studio in London's south Bermondsey are transformed into worship places at the weekends. The grey surrounding streets become colourful with African fabrics worn by the ladies.  Production by Mim Quin-Harkin & Sets by Despina Curtis

1000 Years of Less Ordinary

It was a beautiful experience to be part of Weiden & Kennedy’s Finlandia Vodka portrait documentary, ‘1000 Years Of Less Ordinary’. I was asked to shoot portraits of the Parisian identical twins artists Mady & Monette Malroux, Great Britain’s Wheelchair Rugby Team, and ballet stars Dawid Trzensimiech and Melissa Hamilton at the Royal Opera House in London.

Creative Direction: Paddy Treacy and Mark Shanley Print Production: Amy Leach.

Hofesh Shechter

Pete Connelly, Creative Director at Dare presented me with a special brief for the Hofesh Shechter dance company’s new website by asking me to shoot the dancers’ portraits using the ‘Photometric Stereography’ technique. Here are the stills for the project. Take a look at:

Front Row

Intelligent Life’s picture editor, Melanie Grant, commissioned me to shoot the ‘Front Row’ story on chairs. Architects command spectacular prices for furniture pieces – but is a chair that has been designed by an architect any better than one by a designer?

Y Chair

Tom Dixon’s Y Chair took his studio two years and significant tooling investment to complete. Designed to withstand the constant knocks and daily abuse of offices, hotels and restaurants it is a feat of engineering.
